Sunday, January 22

Well,  I hope we have just finished our three days of winter!  Much better now ... today was really windy tho.  We were getting something like 100 km per hour winds.  Fabulous walk down at the ocean on Dallas Road with humungous waves and sea spray.  (had salty lips for a long time afterwards!).
Those of you who know my niece Dawn, know that she doesn`t like getting her picture taken ... so this is about the best I can do to show you that she is here for about 10 days.  she is taking a course call Tai Yoga Massage (level 2). She is hoping to get her certificate this next week!
Have a good week!

                                                              She`s Here!!

                                                     Yeah ... Snow`s gone!
Looking down the street .... doesn`t this look better than a couple of days ago

Snow Flurries

This is what snow flurries look like in Victoria

Of course the city shut down and we are having a "snow day".  I was supposed to pick Dawn up at the Airport but she is going to be taking a cab in ....

I guess you can't really tell how deep this is!  The reports said we would get up to 20 cm.

Sunday, January 15

BACK YARD this morning at 9 a.m.
FRONT YARD .... Don't think I need to shovel yet!
Good morning Victoria ... this isn't a surprise as the weather reported that it may snow overnight.  There were a few flurries yesterday afternoon while I was out for my walk  ... it cleared up and got sunny tho until dark.  Sunny again today but the weather is calling for flurries again.  I'm off to town for an hour or so this afternoon, but I am not expecting to get stuck in a snow storm!
Have a good week!

SUNDAY, January 8, 2012

What a great day!  Anytime I see signs of spring and longer days ..... and a sunny day to boot!  I'm in smiling heaven!
I met Zana for a latte, then walked to town.  Saw lots of these daffodill "sprouts" on the way.  I spent a fabulous hour or so at CHAPTERS (Thank you Sherri and Doug .... still have monies left over for another visit!).  Bought a couple of really interesting sounding books.  On the way home I visited Ron King.  He has just been moved into a Senior Center that has nursing staff if needed and provides three meals a day in their dining room.  He is putting his condo on the market for sale.  Going up to meet Mike for a coffee (at Starbucks of course), then home for dinner and a quiet evening getting ready for yet another week!
