A trip to Los Angeles and "American Girl" (google this ... it is a fabulous store for little girls!).  The idea is to choose a doll that looks like you.  Olivia was a little too young ... she zeroed in on a doll and would look no further.  she picked her doll.  It came dress in pants and shirt.  She chose a wedding dress as her second dress and of course we could not leave without "roller skates" for her doll!
Then we all had lunch with the dolls.  So cute.  They provide little high chairs for the dolls at the table!  All of this is very expensive of course .... but so much fun to see the girls.  American Girl is located in a very posh area in the center of L.A.

Now comes the real fun.  A Birthday Party for Breanna!  She had her entire Brownie Pack at the party, plus Olivia.  20 girls.  And it was a roller skating party!  I must have gone around the rink 30 times holding her up ... and of course ... what else would one expect ... she did the entire last three rounds of the rink ON HER OWN ... no holding on and no falling.  This was so much fun.  A full afternoon.  Liv and I went to bed together at 7:30 tonight and slept until nearly 9 the next day!

Both Steve & Martha drove us down to Susan's.  Susan lives about 80 miles NW (I think).  They are both close to San Diego but S & M are further inland.  Susan is closer to the Ocean.
Now the fun began!  Olivia, Susan and I met Julie (Susan's daughter), her husband Brian and their daughter who is turning 7 tomorrow, a "Chucky Cheese".  Fabulous place!  All they serve is salad and pizza.  When you enter the "restaurant/fun house" you are stamped with something.  That same stamp is used for your child (children).  You must leave together.  Children cannot leave with the right parent.  Once you enter, you don't see your child again for hours!  what a fun place ...

Steve picked me up at the airport and we drove to get Olivia from her daycare "Pre-School".  How wonderful to get a good running "hug" from her.  Stayed the night and today just played and played with Olivia.  Steve & Martha's house is fabulous.  Really large with very high ceilings (new modern architecture).  The home is built in a large square with an inner courtyard.  Really nice.
We spent a lot of time doing puzzles ....

Thursday, November 17th

OMG ... today is the day.  Off to the airport this morning.  Had to stop at Starbucks first and a quick drive to Dallas Shores so that you could see the kind of weather I was leaving behind!

It's Sunday night already!  Well, I had best start packing!  Most important item ... running shoes!  You can't see them well in the picture (look closely!) ... but they are packed and ready to go!
Next posting will have oodles of pictures (of you know who) and lots of exciting things to tell you.  They have promised good weather .... so I'm pretty happy about that.

11/11/11 won't happen again for another hundred years!  Most of us will not live to see it!  Imagine November 11, 3011.  I wonder what the world will look like!  Some of our grandchildren could make it ... they would be in their 90's.  Imagine!
November 11th always a special day for remembering ... I always think of Uncle Bobbie, Dad, and Uncle Wilf.  I try always try to attend Remembrance Day Services.  Here are some pictures from downtown Victoria.  I only saw ONE Patricia Pats uniform (Dad's infantry) in the whole procession .. so of course, one of the pictures is of that!

Wow!  It's a girl!  Congratulations David & Mary.  Baby Jane Elizabeth made here grand entrance into the office this past week.  So tiny and so cute!

Having A Good Laugh

A house warming party at Zana's on Monday night was a lot of fun.  Great snacks, drinks and company.  I don't remember what was so funny ... This is Lynn & I having a good laugh at Chad (behind the light fixture!)

Saturday .. these running shoes were busy

The days started off like any normal Saturday ... weight watchers!  Not a good weigh in for either Zana or me!  We were both a little up.  Oh well ... diet hard again this week!  Our usual after weight watchers Starbucks latte ... enjoying it at this park.  Doesn't Zana look fabulous!  After much shopping, cooking cleaning and even a trip to the office ..

Saturday night we went to this fabulous play at UVic.  It was hilarious and really well done!

Getting ready for Winter

It is getting really COLD.  I keep thinking about Sherri sailing around the Caribbean, nice and warm.  Can hardly wait till she gets back to hear all about it!  Doing lots of cooking (diet soups of course) this week-end and working on Olivia's scrapbook.

No ... I didn't physically do this .... but this could very well be the last cut of the year (at least until February!) Brrr.....
